A two-book research-and-making series developed in response to Mika Tajima's New Humans. The project investigates surveillance, machine vision, and CV Dazzle through research and practical experimentation, including testing facial detection with the Google Vision API to better understand how these systems recognise and classify faces.

Rather than proposing CV Dazzle as an effective form of counter-surveillance, the work uses it as a speculative tool to explore how machine vision shapes ways of seeing. Together, the books examine the relationship between control and autonomy within surveillance systems, revealing the tension between structure and spontaneity through research, testing, and re-making.
