Illustrator, Photoshop, PrintA digital reinterpretation of Sophie Calle’s “Address Book,” born from a physical copy gifted to me on my 20th birthday. Intrigued by how Calle reconstructed an unknown man’s identity purely through the subjective descriptions of his contacts, I explore how that same sense of human intimacy and voyeurism could exist on the web.

The project translates Calle’s printed investigation into a web interface, using code to give static text a physical, emotional presence. By assigning custom CSS animations and behavioral triggers to people featured in the book, the interface brings their mediated identities to life. This exploration taught me how software can be used as a medium of memory and how web interfaces can operate with such weight and intimacy.
